In November 2009 ENGARDE  joined the corporate membership at the Austrian Arbitration Association (ArbAut) and become its first and so far the only member law firm for Ukraine.

Cooperation between ENGARDE and ArbAut will be aimed at promoting the transparency and best practices of the international arbitration community in Ukraine, adjusting local patterns on drafting arbitration agreements and enforcing arbitral awards to the best European standards. As a member of the Association, the firm will actively contribute to the development of a network platform via participation in the organization’s gatherings and expert publications.

ArbAut is a non-profit association particularly focused on promoting Austria as the place of arbitration and for the resolution of cross-border disputes. The Association is maintains contacts with the International Arbitral Centre of the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber (VIAC), United Nations Commission on International Trade Law, UNCITRAL, and other arbitral organizations and institutions. It has recently launched a new website and blog to improve access to Supreme Court decisions, share new publications and events, and also offer an outlet for the thoughts of some well-known arbitration practitioners.

ArbAut membership unites prominent law firms from European jurisdictions, such as Baier Bohm, CMS Reich-Rohrwig Hainz, Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, Wolf Theiss, as well as individual attorneys from Austria, Germany, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Great Britain, USA, India, Hong Kong, and many other countries.
